iPad Air and iPad Mini | Launching date | Specifications | Price in India:- Tablet iPad 4 that was the last year’s achievement in the series of tablets launched by Apple. Now after a long interval of time Apple launches its two new tabs named as iPad Air and iPad Mini with great features. The launch date of both two tablets is released and Apple’s distribution partner Ingram micro also announced in a press release that both the new tablets will be launched on 7th December.

iPad mini with Retina display having price between 25K to 30K with 16 GB Wi-Fi and its parallel iPad Mini having price between 30K to 40K. The company has not announced the price of 32GB, 64GB and 128 GB in iPad Air Wi-Fi models. This iPad is so much lighter, thinner and have smaller bezels than iPad 4. It’s 7.5 inch and weights 1 pound. Apple claimed that it is thinnest full size tab of the world.
These new tablet models of Apple uses the 64-bit A7 chip and motion co processor M7 that was recently used in iPhone 5S. Apple also claimed that it can performs the tasks with more fast as compare toits 4 and still Apple challenged that the same 10 hour battery life of tablet. These two tabs are full this type of many features which makes it more useful and attractive. The iPad mini has higher resolution than previous model that is 2048*1536 in 7.9 inch display which provides a good interface to the user.
Let us take quick review on the features of both tablets:-
Both of these tabs have capacity of 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB with different price according to their capacities. They are available in different and attractive colors like Gray, Sliver and Aluminum. Both have slimmer dimensions. iPad Air have display of 9.7 inches having 2048*1536 pixels with 223ppi on the other hand iPad Mini have display of 7.9 inches having 2048*1536 with 326ppi. Both tabs are so much lighter in weight having weight near about 1 pound.
Both tabs have same processor of M7 co processor and A7 chip with 64 bit architecture and although the RAM has not been disclosed yet.Tabs have 5 Mega Pixels camera on its hind and 1.2 mega pixels on front of the both tablets. According to these aspects both of the tabs are jam packed of the features. Now let us take a review of price both tabs. Tab Air having price Rs. 28,999, $460 approx and Tab Mini with Retina display having price Rs.35,900, $580 approx.
In recent days Google also launch a new tab on the same platform in the series of Nexus named Google Nexus 7 which have low starting price as compare to Apple’s tabs which starts from Rs. 20,999. Google Nexus 7 have weight 290gm, 5MP rear camera, 2592*1944 pixels, front camera of 1.2MP. Jelly Bean OS with the chipset of Qualcomm Snapdragon S4Pro and 2GB of RAM and much more. According to this review I think there is no more difference in the features of both company’s tablets.
