South Korean tech giant LG seems to be in no mood to rest after the launch of its new flagship, the LG L65 with single and dual SIM variant and the company announced the next smartphone of its Optimus series name LG Optimus Zone 2. This smartphone launched under the Verizon Wireless segment and definitely an entry-level device with some basic features.

Going by the specs, LG Optimus Zone 2 comes with 3.5 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen display with resolution of 320 x 480 pixels and pixel density approximately 165 ppi (pixel per inch). This device supports multitouch function but no word yet about Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

Talking about Hardware, the handset arrives with Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 MSM8610 chipset powered by Dual-core 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex-A7 processor and Adreno 302 graphics along 512 MB RAM. Optimus Zone 2 smartphone runs on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat and that is the highlight features of this entry level smartphone.

The camera section of LG Optimus Zone 2 is controlled by 3 MP camera at the back and features smile detection, ISO control, White balance and capable to capture screenshots during video playback, pause and resume recording. Unlucky No front facing camera for video calling. The phone packs with 4 GB of inbuilt storage and 32 GB microSD card slot for external storage.

The connectivity LG Optimus Zone 2 include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0, GPRS/EDGE, microUSB, A-GPS. For battery power, it is well equipped with Li-Ion 1700 mAh battery that offers 360 hrs stand by time and 10 hrs talk time. Optimus Zone 2 also includes Guest Mode and QuickMemo.

LG Optimus Zone 2 Price | Availability

The price of LG Optimus Zone 2 is $199.99, but Verizon mobile is selling it with a pre-paid plan for just $49.99. There is no word yet about its release date in India but the expected price is Rs. 12,000 in India.
